Facility Description
La Tillette is the private home of Lloyd and Sarah Rogers who are your hosts. Lloyd has designed and built this enormous house himself, to provide luxurious, modern living.
Every effort has been made to provide the ultimate in homely comfort, within an extremely light, spacious and modern interior. The views from la Tillette are simply astounding and it offers the ideal location from which to enjoy some of the best skiing and snowboarding the World has to offer!
Incidentally, some of the best off-piste in the whole of the Tarentaise region actually leads right to la Tillette’s front door!
La Tillette has 4 beautiful, spacious ensuite guest bedrooms and is available for exclusive group bookings only. Accommodation is offered on a half-board basis, for up to 8 guests. Each bedroom has super-comfortable beds and luxury bedlinen. All four ensuite bathrooms have a bath, separate shower, sink and loo. Towels, bathrobes and hairdyers are provided for your stay, plus gorgeous l'Occitane toiletries. Two of the bedrooms have a balcony.
Included in the cost of your stay at la Tillette is daily breakfast and afternoon tea. Three course evening meal with wine and tea/coffee is offered 5 nights per week’s stay:
Breakfast includes crusty French bread, croissants, eggs and a selection of jams (often homemade from our own fruit), cereals, yoghurts, fruit juice, tea and coffee. Afternoon tea is served when you get back from the slopes with delicious fresh home-made cake or biscuits. The evening meal consists of three delicious courses, prepared as far as possible using locally sourced, fresh and ecologically sound ingredients. Meals are complimented by a selection of carefully selected bottled French wines. After dinner teas or coffee are then served in front of the log fire.
Evening meals are served 5 nights per week’s stay, if desired. This allows your hosts a little time off and provides you with a chance to enjoy some of the excellent local restaurants. To lovers of traditional French gourmet cuisine, you could do no better than to visit the famous “Chez Merie” restaurant, hidden away in the neighbouring village of le Miroir, just 300m from la Tillette.

Location Description
La Tillette is situated in the beautiful, unspoilt and typical Alpine hamlet of La Masure in Sainte Foy in the French Alps.
Surrounded by the World famous mega-resorts of Val d'Isere, Tignes, Les Arcs and La Rosiere, Sainte Foy is your hosts’ favourite resort. With its friendly atmosphere, cheap lift pass (approx 40% cheaper than those in Val d'Isere and Les Arcs), and excellent and affordable restaurants, Sainte Foy remains quiet and unspoilt. In fact Sainte Foy must be one of the least busy resorts you will ever visit. Once at the resort, after a short car or bus ride, snow time is 100% snow time.
With lifts running from 1550m up to 2620m, the sheltered, north-west facing slopes enjoy excellent snow throughout the winter. Pistes are beautifully prepared and the ridiculously small number of visitors to the resort means that they stay in top condition all day long. The lower slopes offer wonderful sweeping runs through the trees whilst the upper slopes provide the truly breathtaking descents. Don't be confused by the seemingly small number of lifts. They are all incredibly under-utilised and provide quick and easy access to an area that would have at least 3 times the number of lifts in any busier resort. Incidentally, the future developable ski area here would rival that existing in Val d'Isere!
When you fancy a rest from the slopes, why not stop off at one of the selection of superb and very reasonable restaurants on the slopes, some converted from original Savoyard shepherds lodgings.
There is a scheduled although limited free shuttle bus service from just outside la Tillette to the resort of Sainte Foy.
The nearest airports are Chambéry, Grenoble, Lyon and Geneva. The nearest train station is Bourg Saint Maurice, which is 15 minutes from the chalet; perfect for Eurostar which comes direct from the UK.
We recommend having your own transport for your stay, in order to make the most of the fabulous skiing in the area.
