The Sauna... The benefits of using our sauna are numerous. Not least because it is so relaxing and leaves your body soothed and your mind serene. It´s main advantage lies in the fact that it promotes sweating, helping the body to rid itself of toxins. It is also believed that exposure of the skin to heat stimulates the production of white blood cells and strengthens the immune system. The heat and humidity of the sauna also diffuses pain and relaxes tired muscles. It is also believed to improve blood circulation and breathing, promote weight loss (it burns about 300 calories per average session) and aid skin cleansing.
Chalet Hot Tub... The terrace is fitted with a Hot Tub romantically lit at night with fairy lights from where you can appreciate this truly special location whilst sipping a glass of champagne!
Enhanced service... At Chalet Mont d´Or we are enhancing our already high quality service by employing an experienced chef to ensure all your food is utterly scrumptious. You can expect breakfast with a hot option cooked to order, self service afternoon tea with freshly baked cakes and biscuits and a five course evening meal starting with pre-dinner drinks and canapes, a delicious starter, a nutriciously balanced main course and a dessert to die for. The finale is the wonderful cheeseboard and we also serve petit fours with coffee in the lounge after dinner.
If after dinner you fancy experiencing some of Méribel´s famous nightlife, our drivers will be on hand to run you to the center (9 minutes) and collect you by prior arrangement (at a reasonable hour). If you want to stay closer to home yet still enjoy a drink or two, the Chalet Hosts offer a choice of drinks from their honesty bar and there are a couple of bars in Les Allues (a 5 minute walk from the chalet).
Chalet Mont d´Or is a non-smoking chalet and ashtrays are provided on balconies for smokers. Please refer to the floor plans when booking as you may wish to select a particular room or floor. Your Chalet Hosts eat dinner with you and live out. We can also offer a 2 week 2 resort holiday from a choice of La Rosière, Sainte Foy, Les Arcs, Méribel and La Plagne.
Location Description
The Three Valleys is Europe’s largest ski area totalling 600km of piste and offering an unrivalled variety of terrain for all level of skier and with Meribel located in the middle of the three valleys, you are ideally situated to take advantage of the area. The resort has some of the most modern ski lifts available and some of the best lunch stops in the Alps. Of all the Meribel villages, Meribel Les Allues is the nicest, built entirely with traditional chalets in stone and wood and retaining a charming Savoyard village feel. The village itself is very popular and offers a much more French experience than the hustle bustle of Meribel and its popularity with British skiers.
"A welcome trend in the Alps is the colonisation of lower altitude and more characterful mountain villages that missed the first round of ski resort developments, Les Allues is such a place: a few hairpins down from Méribel, it´s a small rough hewn settlement, and by far the nicest place to stay in the valley. If you want a more laid back holiday, mixing awesome on-piste skiing in the world´s largest ski area, with a lazy day or two catching the sun, you´ll love it". The Sunday Times
