Description
Chalet Sorbier is a new luxury chalet built in 2007 . It boasts fabulous views over the Rhone valley and is situated in a very peaceful/white area of Nendaz so perfect for a relaxing skiing holiday. The chalet overlooks an old Chapelle and then on to the mountains beyond and being situated in a ' white area' it is very peaceful with no road traffic passing by. Throughout the chalet, it is fiited out to the highest quality boasting a state of the art heating system, hot tub, steam room , log fire, excellent kitchen and very comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms.
Facility Description
There are 5 bedrooms, 4 are twin/doubles and 1 a bunk room suitable for children which can accomodate 4 at the maximum. The bedrooms are equipped with high quality beds with down duvets and pillows There are 5 bathrooms , with a mixture of baths and good showers. A luxury fitted kitchen, fully equipped to a very high standard and again good quality china and glassware. There is a hot tub on the balcony with the most amazing view and a steam room on the garden level . For entertainment the chalet has a flat screen TV with Playstation 3 and DVD/CD player, IPOD player and on the first floor another separate TV and XBOX, perfect for families . The chalet also has heated boot warmers and ample storage for skis and a cosy logfire to relax by after a hard day on the slopes. The chalet also has a washing machine and dryer ( on the garden level floor ) .
Location Description
The chalet is situated in Les Cleves, a small area of Nendaz just above the main village and right next to the piste. You can ski from the chalet , down the small access track to the piste and on to it in about 45 seconds. It is possible to ski back to the chalet leaving the piste , or alternatively it is a few minutes walk back from the main piste. Access to the chalet is by road to the parking arrranged approx 200m from the chalet. For arrivals and departures a snow mobile ( Hagglunds) takes guests up to the chalet. Nendaz itself is 25 minutes drive from Sion , based inthe Rhone Valley and around 1 hour 54 mins from Geneva airport. Nendaz is a super village well equipped with ski shops/supermarkets/ski schools/childcare and sports facilities. The village is especially welcoming to families and the nursery slopes are beautifully situated on a sunny plateau at the top of the Tracouet lift.
