Facility Description
Le Hameau du Bec Rouge is a new development in the hamlet of Montroc situated between the ski areas of Argentiere and Le Tour. It consists of 4 new chalets surrounding the main building which was the old Bec Rouge hotel. The main building renovated into 15 luxury apartments. It benefits by being situated on the high side of the village with wonderful views, good access and only 150m from the train and bus stops. It is one mile from Argentiere which has numerous restaurants, bars and a supermarket. It is 10 minutes by car to Chamonix and 5 minutes from the Swiss border at Vallorcine.
The apartment is situated in the main building on the corner of the first floor with a further 3 floors above, the ski lockers are below on the entry level with underground car parking.
The spacious three bedroomed apartment of over 90 sqm and has been built to a traditional alpine design with plenty of natural wood and quarry-tiled floors. The open plan living area has French windows leading onto a lovely south facing terrace with a wonderful view looking down the Chamonix valley to the magnificent Mont-Blanc. The apartment has a fully-fitted kitchen, a large dining area and a comfortable living room. There are two double bedrooms and a bunk room. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with shower, heated towel rail and toilet. The main bathroom is equipped with a bath and shower, washing machine and heated towel rail. There is also a separate WC. Underground car parking and a secure ski locker are available.
Location Description
Argentiere has arguably the best high altitude skiing in the Alps. The lift to the legendary Grands Montets with its mind-blowing glacier skiing is a few minutes walk from the chalet. Free train and bus connect Argentiere to the other Chamonix Valley ski areas and Chamonix itself is 10 minutes drive away. The traditional Savoyard village with its beautiful Baroque church is full of life. It has a good selection of restaurants and bars, supermarket, baker, Internet cafe, post office, chemist, ATM machine, ski school, tourist office, excellent sports shops and other shops.
