Facility Description

The Mazot is a newly renovated luxury barn conversion situated in a quiet location, just 300m from Samoens centre and 50m from the ski bus stop. Properties as unique as this are truly difficult to find as alpine ski and summer holiday lettings.

The Mazot sleeps 4/6 people and consists of 2 en suite bedrooms, the first in located on the ground floor and is a twin en suite with a huge walk in shower, sink and WC. This floor also has a large utility area with washer dryer and is plenty big enough to store skis and bikes securely. Stairs lead from the entrance to the open plan kitchen, dining and living room. This light and spacious area offers excellent views and all modern homely conveniences such as fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, double oven and large fridge freezer. The lounge has a sofa bed and large woodburner/log fire, ideal for those cosy nights in! Additional facilities include flat screen TV with satellite, DVD player, music system and DVDs and games. The Mazot also has WiFi.

Spiral stairs lead up to the master suite with four poster bed and contemporary en suite bathroom with integrated shower, bath, sink and WC.

There is a terrace area to the front of the Mazot for outside dining and relaxation and a private parking space adjacent to the Mazot.

The chalet is located next to Chalet Moccand and available on a self catered basis with onsite assistance offered for all aspects of your stay. This unit can be occupied for larger groups staying in the Chalet next door.

We have secured discounted rates for both airport transfers and car hire. Please see our website for more details.

We are delighted to offer an exhilarating summer multi activity holiday between June and September. Please visit our website for more details and to request an itinerary. The Grand Massif Express lift is now open in summer as well as winter; this is fantastic news for walkers, bikers, paragliders and sports enthusiasts alike.

Winter facts….The Grand Massif is the 4th largest ski area in France and has one of the lowest lift to beds ratios…so much smaller queues than other well know resorts. Samoens now has a high speed lift from 1600m up to 2500m…this means less queuing, less time on the lifts and more skiing!
We are also offering some fantastic alternative activities in the winter, so if you are a non skier there are plenty of other exciting things to take part in, why not try our snow shoeing trip for example...a fantastic experience after which you can enjoy a delicious Savoyard meal in a Yurt on the side of the mountain!

There has never been a better time to holiday in the Samoens area, with an abundance of activities to choose from, breathtaking scenery to enjoy, a delightful village to explore and friendly locals to meet. Alps Accommodation are recommended in Good Ski Guide, Where to Ski and Snowboard and Lusso Luxury Lifestyle Magazine.

Location Description

This spectacular and beautiful area is protected and hence hasn’t been spoilt by tourism. Samoens has been awarded a ‘Coq d’Or’ for being one of the prettiest villages in France and is the only ski resort classified by the Caisse des Monuments Historiques. The area is full of character and charm with stonemasonary and farming at the heart, yet still provides the centre for almost every outdoor activity imaginable.

Based in the stunning valley of the Giffre river, the area provides spectacular scenery including mountain lakes, national parks and botanical gardens plus amazing wildlife. Just minutes up the road at Sixt Fer a Cheval are over a dozen enormous waterfalls. It has a great deal to offer for families and individuals of all ages seeking adventure or alternatively, just sheer relaxation.
