This very special property in Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise is over 500 years old and offers a unique insight into the true French Alpine lifestyle.
Hospitality starts with tea or coffee in bed followed by a cooked breakfast. Freshly baked cakes are served with your tea after a day on the slopes. Canapés and evening aperitifs are served in the lounge by the fire before a four-course dinner with specially selected wines. Our wines and Champagnes play a big part of your stay, we delight in serving different wines with each evening meal. Our house wines are freely available as too are complimentary beers and soft drinks.
Facility Description
Chalet Number One, originally a traditional Savoyarde farnhouse, is now a boutique chalet offering luxury, catered ski accommodation. Traditional charm is combined with modern comforts and the chalet is stylish and homely, warm and welcoming. There are six luxury bedrooms (five en-suite and one with its own private shower room). We can sleep up to twelve adults in either double or twin rooms. All the bedrooms are entirely individual in character - towels, bathrobes, hair dryers and toiletries are all provided.
The sitting room occupies the oldest part of the chalet. Tastefully furnished with a wood burning stove, it makes a perfect cosy evening retreat after a day out on the slopes.
There is a separate TV room with bunk beds, Sky TV, DVD and Playstation. WiFi is available and there is a laptop for guests to use.
We have a separate ski and boot room with a boot warmer. There is ample car parking in front of the chalet.

Chalet Number One dates back over 500 years. It is a stunning, traditional French farmhouse situated in the farming hamlet of La Masure. Chalet Number One offers a unique insight into the true French Alpine lifestyle, so far removed from the purpose-built resorts with their "industrial" skiing and package holiday crowds.
Sainte-Foy is the ideal resort for experienced skiers and beginners alike. Don't be put off by the modest statistics: Sainte-Foy is the best kept secret in the Tarentaise valley! Enjoy hardly any lift queues, uncrowded slopes and endless backcountry off-piste - good skiers can even ski back to the chalet.
Sainte-Foy ski resort is full of charm and character, our chalet also provides easy access to the vast ski areas of Val d'Isère and Tignes, Les Arcs and La Rosière (from where you can ski into Italy) - all within easy striking distance.
