Description
Our newly refurbished traditional Chalet Sonne in the resort of Maria Alm, welcomed its first guests in January 2007.
Less than one hour's drive from the historical city of Salzburg, the resort forms part of the Höchkonig Ski Circuit with over 150 kms of piste.
The décor of Chalet Sonne has been thoughtfully and tastefully planned. The Chalet Sonne sleeps up to 13 guests and you can reserve the whole Chalet for your group or just book one room.
Our guests will feel totally at home in our wood panelled living room with its comfortable seating, flat screen cable TV with DVD player and corner sitting area. Adjoining is the dining area with wonderful views of the village and skiing area. Downstairs there's also a Sauna where you can relax after a day on the slopes and a small games room with table tennis.
Comfortable bedrooms all have the benefit of private shower toilet as well as a south facing balcony. Each is nicely furnished in traditional style with views to the slopes of the Aberg mountain.
Room 5- Double fully wood panelled room with Austrian twin beds. Bathroom with shower, basin & wc.
Room 4- Quad room with Austrian twin beds and bunk bed. Bathroom with shower, basin & wc.
Room 3- Triple room with Austrian twin beds and a separate divan. Bathroom with shower, basin & wc.
We also offer (subject to availability) two extra ground floor rooms in apartment style. These rooms share a bathroom with bath tub, wc and washbasin.
Room 2- Double room with Austrian twin beds.
Room 1- A second smaller room with one bed or two if used by children.
Winter prices include buffet style breakfast, afternoon tea and 3 course evening meal with complimentary wine and coffee to follow for 6 nights. On one evening you are invited to taste the local cuisines in the village, your chalet host can make recommendation and bookings for your group.

Facility Description
On entering the chalet through the entrance hall, you come into our cosy lounge with comfortable seating area, open fire place, wide-screen cable TV, DVD and stereo.
The living room leads across to our bright and sunny dining area where our generous breakfast buffet is served.
On the lower ground floor is the chalet's sauna. Adjacent is a small entertainment room with table tennis room.
The Chalet Sonne offers three spacious first floor bedrooms, each with en-suite Shower & WC and balcony. These comfortable rooms are all newly furnished.
A fourth bedroom / apartment with separate bathroom is sometimes also available for large groups.
Location Description
Despite the vast ski area, immaculate slopes and enviable snow record, the Hochkonig is still largely unknown to the British market. For the few keen British skiers that have discovered this incredibly beautiful area with its quiet pistes and short lift queues there is no looking back.
For skiing convenience it's just 500 metres to the lifts and the centre of the resort.
