La Maison

Family friendly catered ski chalet in the heart of the Three Valleys! Beautiful barn conversion, sleeps 13, wonderful dining room with vaulted ceiling. We also have a family room that sleeps up to five.

Chalet ‘La Maison' is a beautiful barn conversion sleeping up to 13 people in spacious and comfortable accommodation.

The Chalet provides spacious accommodation spread over four floors, with a generously proportioned and comfortable lounge on the ground floor and fantastic dining area with separate kitchen.
Having been fully refurbished in 2007 the chalet is clean and modern but retains many original features such as the wonderful dining room with vaulted ceiling (or Cave at it is referred to locally!)

The Chalet is located in La Combe, a traditional French mountain village just a few minutes shuttle (which we will provide at your convenience) from the nearest ski lift at St Martin de Belleville which will whisk you up to the largest ski area in the world - Les Trois Vallees.

We provide a free shuttle service each day to take you from the Chalet to the ski lift. We will also meet you in the afternoon where you will be most likely enjoying some après ski before taking you back to the Chalet for afternoon tea and cake. The drive only takes around six and a half minutes (we know, we've timed it!).

The Chalet is run personally by myself (Gemma) and my husband James, the owners of Green Mountain Chalets.

Accommodation:

- Four double bedrooms (split over two floors with a shared bathroom on each floor)
- A family room with three single beds and a double bed on the mezzanine level. This room has an en-suite bathroom and also has a television and dvd player.
- Satellite TV and DVD player in the lounge area (with a large selection of DVDs)
- Wifi
- Nintendo Wii
- Bathrobe and slippers
- Walkie talkies to take out on the slopes
- Board games
- Ipod dock in lounge area
- Baby monitors
- High chairs
- Cots provided free of charge

Cuisine:

The Chalet is offered on a catered basis. This includes:

- Cooked breakfast - also the option to have breakfast in bed!
- Afternoon tea and cake
- Three course evening meal
- Unlimited local wine with your evening meal
- An honesty bar stocked with beer and soft drinks
- Free tea and coffee
- Children's meal and meal times
- Vegetarian meals available
- Packed lunches are available by request

Please note that we shall have one day off mid-week. Cooked breakfast, afternoon cake and evening meal will not be provided on this day. There are several local restaurants to choose from in the evening including La Bouitte which is a two star Michelin restaurant located in St Martin De Belleville. We can make a reservation for you or you can access the kitchen in the chalet if you would prefer to cook your own evening meal.

If you would prefer to rent the Chalet on a self-catered basis then we can accommodate your needs. We are only able to provide this option however for parties wanting to book the whole Chalet. This also includes if you would like to have a mix of catered and self-catered nights. We are fully flexible and happy to meet your requirements.

We are happy to pre-arrange any of the following to make your stay at Chalet La Maison as relaxing as possible and ensure that you have as many hours out on the slopes as possible!
- We can pre-arrange lift passes, lessons or equipment hire;
- We can pre-arrange any childcare you require - whether it is in a local creche or a private nanny; and
- We can help you arrange your airport transfer with an English speaking driver
- We are also happy to accompany you out on the slopes (at no extra cost) to show you the best runs and the best places for hot chocolate!

La Combe is a traditional farming village just a few minutes drive from St Martin De Belleville. A charming alpine village dating back to the 16th century, it is often referred to as the ‘hidden gem of the Three Valleys’.

‘La Maison’ provides an excellent base to access the vast 600km Three Valleys ski area.

After a day out on the slopes you can ski back to the pretty village of St Martin De Belleville where there is a good variety of bars/restaurants in which to relax with a well-earned drink. We will meet you there and it is then only a short drive back to ‘La Maison’ for afternoon tea and cake (or a beer from the “Honesty fridge”, you are on holiday after all!)
