Description
New guest house built in December 2004 with 2 self catering apartments and 5 rooms on a bed & breakfast basis. Ski in/ski out. Centrally located in the pretty Austrian village of Filzmoos.
Facility Description
Haus Lowe was built in December 2004. We have 2 self catering apartments sleeping up to 4 adults plus 5 rooms (3 doubles and 2 three bedded rooms) on a bed & breakfast basis. All rooms have private en-suite facilities. There is a small bar, heated ski room and private parking. Filzmoos is primarily a ski resort where you can ski in and out from the house. The ski hire shop and ski school are just across the road from the house. In Summer you can enjoy an endless amount of outdoor activities including mountain walking, mountain biking, climbing, horse riding, golf etc.
Location Description
Filzmoos forms part of the Ski Amade Region where you can ski 860km of pistes with 270 lifts all on one ski pass. Other more international resorts like Flachau, Zaucensee and Schladming are 15 - 25 minutes drive away, all of which host the World Cup Gold Runs.
Filzmoos is a very traditional Austrian village where the pistes come right down to the village centre. There are several restaurants and bars (only minutes walk from our house) where you can spend your evenings catering for all requirements. The ski hire shop is across the road from us as is the nursery slope and the ski school is next door.
Filzmoos also boasts its own Leisure Centre with indoor/outdoor swimming pool and saunas (free entry to Haus Lowe guests). There are also 2 bowling lanes .
You can also participate in Toboggoning, Snow Shoe Walking, a Sleigh Ride to one of the mountain huts, Langlauf/Cross Country Skiing and Ice Curling.
We are just 45 minutes south of Salzburg city where you can visit the birth town of Mozart and the historic castle. Filzmoos is a snow sure resort in Winter being referred to locally as the "schneehole" which means the snow hole. In Summer temperatures reach well into the 30's making this an ideal twin season resort.
