Chalet Chantelauze

Chalet Chantelauze was a gracious and very homely residence, once home to the previous Mayor of La Rosiere. It now caters to the more discerning skier, being in the most stunning location in La Rosière, it offers the perfect place for a wonderful winter holiday.

Situated in the quiet wooded area of Le Gollet, close to the centre of La Rosière, the chalet is built of local stone and wood and has a traditional slated roof. The unobstructed views from the front south facing balconies are absolutely breathtaking, spanning through the forest for miles across the Tarentaise valley. The grand balcony is fitted with a Hot Tub from where you can appreciate this truly special location whilst sipping a glass of champagne!

On entering the chalet, you will find a ski rack and a boot warmer in the hallway, thus ensuring you have cosy toes each morning. Walk through the hallway and into the very spacious lounge and you will find yourself in a beautiful and comfortable area where you will enjoy relaxing in front of the log fire. The lounge has a high vaulted ceiling and is tastefully decorated and wonderfully inviting with ample seating, complimented by a TV, DVD and CD player as well as a games area with table football and darts. Together, this open plan living area totals over 60m2.

The separate dining room is both bright and appealing in the mornings and the perfect setting for your evening meal. There is a generous seating area and purpose built kitchen where you can smell the gorgeous aromas of your food being prepared.

The seven bedrooms are bright and very comfortable and are named after some of the highest mountains in the area. Three of the bedrooms are en-suite, the other four bedrooms are very conveniently paired off, with each pair sharing a bathroom, offering suites ideal for families or small groups of friends. Our Master Room caters for a family of up to five with an ensuite bathroom with jacuzzi bath.

Chalet Chantelauze has copious amounts of hot water. The bathrooms are spacious and modern, three of which have a bath and a shower. The remaining bathrooms have a shower only. As well as fluffy towels, comfy slippers and luxurious bathrobes, we add small extras like complimentary relaxing essential oils for the bath and candles for the ultimate chillout experience.

La Rosière is a wonderfully attractive well-kept French secret. A purpose built resort, it has a lovely traditional rustic Savoyard feel with low rise chalet accommodation built mostly in wood and stone.

With 150km of pistes, La Rosière is part of the large Espace San Bernardo, linked to La Thuile in Italy since 1984. The area is the origin of the loveable St. Bernard dogs, the cuddly mountain rescuers, still to be found in resort today (a real treat is in store for the kids when they visit the St. Bernard dog kennels). There are spectacular panoramic views from La Rosière across the Tarentaise valley to Les Arcs, up towards St Foy, Val D’Isere and Tignes and down towards Bourg St Maurice, Aime and Moutiers, as well as impressive views of Mont Blanc from the slopes.
