Tradtional 18th century Napoleonic stone building with 9 bedrooms based in the heart of the village.
Facility Description
Les Sorbiers is a fine period Napoleonic building in the heart of the village, which we have sympathetically restored and modernised to the level expected of high quality family run chalets throughout the Pyrenees.
We offer excellent facilities here in our chalet in centre of Bareges serving excellent quality food and vegetarian options from local produce. Our chalet has been renovated to a high standard take a drink from our well stocked bar, sit in our lounge in front of the wood burning stove after a long days skiing, our fully en-suite rooms will ensure that you are fully rested for the next days skiing.
We offer half board accomodation including afternoon tea. We also feature in a number of food guides, both in France and around the world. Our vegetarian options are offered daily and other dietary requirements are not a problem to us.

We believe the essence of our hospitality starts with good organic food, in our dining room we serve the best fresh local produce bought locally. French cuisine,vegetarian options and local wines with the local dishes are sometimes on the menu but we work to the seasons and what is available to us. Garbure is one of the those hearty vegetable soups made with Tarbais beans and fortified with ham hock. Toulousian cassoulet with pork, sausage and goose a very rich meaty stew. The Bareges-Gavarnie lamb which has its own AOC and is the toast of several top London restuarants and can be found in Londons smithfield market.
Four different types of cheeses Ossau, Iraty, Val D'Aran & Bigorre. Desserts include egg batter, open fire, spit cooked gateau Brioche rum and orange sponge. Local wines include Madiran, St Mont, Jurancon and Pacherenc.

Location Description
Located in Bareges based in the centre of the village, close to all of the shops, bars, restaurants and the thermal baths.
The Bareges-La Mongie Tourmalet ski area is largest resort in the French Pyrenees with over 100km of pistes, ideal for beginners through to expert skiers, skiing from 1400m - 2877m some of the highest skiing in the Pyrenees.
A 1 minute walk, from the free ski bus stop and close to all of the lifts which are 5 minute ride by bus, and you can ski right back to the village on a green or a blue run.
Even in peak season sees this resort in the French Pyrenees with less queues than the Alps and great snow conditions.
