Chalet Moccand

Chalet Moccand is a stunning 5-8 bedroom chalet with pool/jacuzzi in an enviable location. Available as self catered and offers accommodation for small or large groups of up to 12 to 20 people. Chalet Moccand has an official 4 star rating from the Samoens Tourist Office.

Next door is "The Mazot" offering 2 more luxury enquite bedrooms so the whole location can sleep to 25 people!

The main chalet sleeps 10/12 in 5 spacious ensuite bedrooms with baths and/or showers. Rooms have mountain views and overlook the private garden, two of which have a balcony where a waterfall can be seen most of the year. There is a large lounge area with 4 big comfy sofas around the log fire, large flat LCD TV, satellite TV, DVD's, high spec stereo with iPod connector, wireless internet access, Playstation with games, books and board games. In addition there is a spacious dining area which can be arranged to seat up to 18. For larger groups, the chalet can be joined internally with the 3 bedroom Apartment Moccand, making the entire chalet sleep up to 20 and providing a second living area and kitchen facilities. For even larger groups there is another 2 bedroom luxury chalet next door, sleeping a further 5 people!

The main chalet bedrooms consist of 3 doubles a quad and a twin room, however slight alterations can be made to this configeration if required. As an exclusive supplier of Molton Brown toiletries, you will receive a selection of their products in each bathroom. A guest hairdryer is also provided.

The chalet is set in it's own grounds, with a large sunny garden. The chalet benefits from a superb 4.5m/15 foot long swim spa. One end is a jacuzzi with seating, jets and bubbles, while the other end has a series of strong jets, which supply an adjustable current for a proper swim. Heated for year round use.

Additional facilities include heated ski and boot room, secure storage for equipment, washing machine, tumble dryer, cots and highchairs and barbeque.

The Grand Massif Express lift is now open in summer as well as winter; this is fantastic news for walkers, bikers, paragliders and sports enthusiasts alike.

Winter facts….The Grand Massif is the 4th largest ski area in France and has one of the lowest lift to beds ratios…so much smaller queues than other well know resorts. Samoens now has a high speed lift from 1600m up to 2500m…this means less queuing, less time on the lifts and more skiing!
We are also offering some fantastic alternative activities in the winter, so if you are a non skier there are plenty of other exciting things to take part in, why not try our snow shoeing trip for example...a fantastic experience after which you can enjoy a delicious Savoyard meal in a Yurt on the side of the mountain!
