Facility Description
Come and stay in our cosy antique authentic Swiss chalet. Very centrally located in the village of Vercorin. All shops and amenities are less than 100m away. Vercorin is a very family friendly resort, the Nursery slopes are behind the chalet and you can park your car directly outside the front door. For the main skiing area the chalet is brilliantly located, walk 50m from the chalet and you will come to the main piste down to the village, ski down another 50m to the 'bubble station '. Ski back to the chalet on a blue run from the top of the moutain and walk the same 50m down back home.
The Chalet was built in 1870 and is made of larch wood. The chalet consists of 2 floors and a basement. The basement also houses the washing machine and dryer, it is a perfect place to leave your skis and dry off your clothes.
The ground floor has an entrance porch and hallway. Off the hallway is 1 double bedroom with built in cupboards, 1 bunk room with built in cupboards and a bathroom with WC. You can have a bath or a shower in the bathroom. A door then leads off to the large open plan living, kitchen and dining area. This open plan room is great for entertaining the whole family and there is plenty of room for eating and relaxing. There is a real log fire with plenty of wood so you can make it as cosy as you like in the evenings.
The Kitichen is well equipped with oven, dishwasher, fridge, toaster, coffee maker and microwave. There are many pots and pans etc.. if you feel like cooking up some local dishes.
You can enter the garden via the living area garden door.
You take the stairs from the living area onto the mezz floor where there is a sofa bed and a great play area for the kids. The mezz floor leads to the first floor which has a double bedroom with a shower room and WC, a great escape for Mum and Dad or Granny and Grandpa.
All the bedrooms have penty of cupboard space and shelves and most beds have English pillows. The Chalet also has board games, children's toys, CD/radio player for extra entertainment. There is Cable TV but this is Swiss TV so English channels will be limited. There is a TV with a video player and an extensive range of children's videos and other videos, mainly John Wayne westerns and action films. The chalet also has an internet connection. We recommend that you use your own mobile phones.
Although we have added the Chalet to holidaylettings it is also rented out via a local agent. He is very helpful and if you do run into problems and need some advise he is there to help. He is just down the hill on the right, he also runs the local bank.
We have said no smoking in the chalet but you can still smoke outside or enjoy a cigar or cigarette after dinner. Please do not smoke in the bedrooms.
We have made the chalet as much of a home from home as possible and hopefully you will agree that it is a very comfortable to stay in. We love it and we hope you have an enjoyable stay.
