Description
Chalet Gueret is one of the smartest and most confortable chalets in the Morzine valley. This privately-owned chalet has been hosted by Michael and Katie Rumbold since 2002 and is the perfect place for families and groups of friends.
Facility Description
This beautiful chalet has been totally rebuilt after a fire destroyed the original 200 year old farmhouse. No expense has been spared by the English owners. the 6 individually designed bedrooms have generous bathrooms ensuite; four of them have additional stand-up power showers.
All rooms open onto a balcony or terrace. The living room has an open fireplace, hi-fi, Ipod docking station and access to a vast balcony. Off the living room is a library area well stocked with books and board games. There is a small additional dining room which is useful for childrens' supper or for meetings. Your hosts provide breakfast and afternoon tea with home-made cakes every day. Sparkling wine and canapes are supplied before a generous 4-course dinner with wine. We ask you to dine out on one night of the week. We provide an open bar stocked with wine, spirits, beers and mixers. The chalet has a sauna with power shower, an outside hot-tub and an heated swimming pool (in summer). There is a games room with table-tennis, Sky + TV, and Playstation 2 with DVD. Ski and snowboard hire can be fitted in and delivered to the chalet. We provide a ski companion service and free transport to and from the slopes.
Location Description
Chalet Gueret is in the charming village of Essert Romand, some 4 km from the centre of Morzine and the nearest skilifts. Geneva airport is a mere 75 minute's drive away. The chalet is surrounded by fields on 3 sides and has beautiful views over the Morzine valley towards Avoriaz and Les Portes du Soleil with its 650 km of ski runs and over 200 lifts. 5 minutes walk away is the characterful Bar Restaurant La Petite Auberge. There is plenty of room around the chalet for children to play in the snow and toboggan.
