Traditional, charming self-catered Chalet situated on the edge of the breath taking Lake Montriond, within 5 minutes of the ski lifts and 7 minutes of the centre of Morzine. With over 100sqm of living accommodation, extensively redecorated in Spring 2008, including a large sitting room with deep sofas and a log burning stove, 3 Bedrooms (2 Ensuite) and mezzanine level ideal for children. Sleeps up to 8 people comfortably (10 including young children) with views of the lake and mountains from every window, Chalet du lac is the perfect mountain retreat from which to enjoy the French Alps in summer and winter.

Large open plan, split level sitting room with rustic wooden beams and a cosy wood burning stove. The chalet has been sympathetically decorated with antique skis, cartwheels, dried flowers and carved wooden fretwork to give it the quintessential alpine log cabin feel.

Unlimited WIFI broadband, CD player, 28" flat screen TV with english satellite and DVD with a selection of films for all ages, and a selection of board games to while away evenings after dinner or before hitting the apres ski.

The modern bathroom and kitchen have recently been renovated to provide all mod cons: full length bath, fridge freezer, induction hob oven, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, espresso machine.

Duvets, pillows, linen, and firewood are included.

Detached lockable ski hut, as well as an internal drying room to ensure that boots are toasty before a new day on the piste.

The ski bus stops in front of the chalet for the ski lift or the centre of Morzine, however we would recommend that the guests have the use of a car for the duration of the holiday.

A large supermarket is four minutes away.

Discounts have been arranged on ski and boot hire for chalet du lac guests at the local Ski hire shop.

Private ski tuition can be arranged with an excellent english speaking Ecole de Ski Francais instructor who can visit you at the chalet at the start of your holiday to discuss your needs.

At an altitude of 1072m, The spectacular Lac de Montriond is situated in the centre of the Portes du Soleil, 7 minutes from Morzine town centre.

There are two good restaurants within walking distance of the chalet, and guests are welcomed by Monique and Pascal at the local pension Hotel les Sapins bar one minute away.
