Find Ski Chalets and Luxury Chalets in Meribel
So what's Meribel like?
Here at last is a resort worthy of a place on a picture postcard. Tastefully decorated with traditional-style chalets placed neatly amongst snow-dusted pine trees, Meribel is a favourite with the Brits who flock to it to get their winter wonderland fix. Lying snugly in the middle of the Three Valleys, and without the enormous price tag of some of the other resorts, it has great access to all the pistes and all levels of skiing and boarding.
The apres ski in Meribel is some of the best in the Alps, although not cheap they have thought of everything, so whatever your guilty pleasure is after a hard day on the mountains you can get it here.
Families are also well catered for with free lift passes for under fives and plenty of good ski schools and childcare. There is a bowling alley with special lightweight balls, as well as a swimming pool complete with water slide.
Accommodation in Meribel comes mostly in the form of luxury catered or self-catered chalets and although there isn’t any doorstep skiing, the resort is well served by a free shuttle bus that wends its way through the resort on a regular basis.
Meribel is for those who like to be distracted by beautiful scenery as they traverse down the mountainside, who like the idea of toasting marshmallows over a roaring fire at the end of a hard day’s skiing, and who perhaps secretly hope to get a sneaky peek of Father Christmas on his sleigh or at the very least a glimpse at Rudolf’s nose whilst the snow falls silently around them in their very own snow globe.
