Find Ski Chalets and Luxury Chalets in La Plagne
So what's La Plagne like?
One of the largest resorts in the world, La Plagne is linked via the Vanoise Express cable car to Les Arcs forming the combined ski area named Paradiski. It boasts some of the most superb scenery, much of which is thanks to the Bellecote glacier that reaches a massive 3250 metres and provides a summer playground for snow worshipers.
La Plagne is popular with families and groups thanks to its vast array of intermediate slopes and ski-in ski-out accommodation. This comes in a range of options from luxury catered chalets or self catering chalets to 1960s purpose-built apartments. Of the ten villages that make up this enormous resort, each one is self-sufficient with its own shops, bars and restaurants meaning you don’t have to travel great distances to feed the starving hordes.
If the thrill of skiing and boarding the many slopes that La Plagne provides isn’t enough for you there is also the opportunity to use the Olympic Bobsleigh run which is open to the public. For electrifying speeds of up to 135kph you can take the ‘taxi bob’ driven by a professional, or for more sedate speeds of around 80kph there is the ‘bob raft’ in which up to three friends can make the descent in 90 seconds.
