Fernie is a small town in the south-eastern corner of British Columbia, in the Canadian Rockies. Fernie Alpine Resort has become a mecca for skiers and snowboarders with its well known legendary powder skiing. Fernie has a reputation for excellent snow conditions and spectacular scenery. Elephant and Mammoth Head provide impressive rock backdrops to an extensive playground waiting to be explored.
The resort is mostly made up of hotels and apartments close to the slopes, with lodge and chalet style accomodation further down the mountain in the Timberline area. Fernie has an enormous amount of terrain to choose from and is the place for those who like to ski hard, fast, steep and deep.
