So what's La Tania like?
A relatively new kid on the block, La Tania is a picturesque, traffic-free village found cowering between Courchevel and Meribel. There is easy access to the Three Valleys via a high-speed gondola so La Tania is a favourite of families who like the quieter more sedate side of skiing without the rowdy crowds that go with the après ski movement.
Accommodation is mostly in the form of luxury chalets, both catered and self-catered, as well as several tasteful apartments which all offer easy piste access. The pistes return you to La Tania through the heart of the forest which make for a perfect end to a day’s skiing or boarding. They are even protected with snow canons so you can be sure to get home whatever the weather.
There is a real community spirit in La Tania and although they are somewhat limited for the après ski options they more than make up for it with organised events such as torchlight descents, big air displays, sledge races, concerts and more.
La Tania is one of the greenest ski resorts and because of this and their no traffic policy it is a safe and friendly environment for families. It is actively sought out by those who won’t compromise the quality of their skiing but want a more peaceful, traditional stay away from the crowds.
